Dealing with Anxiety over Christmas| Day 23

Hello sweet peas 🙂

Today I just wanted to do a positivity post to help you deal with any anxiety you have over Christmas. Christmas is one of the happiest times of the year, but for those of us who struggle with being around lots of people, or similar situations, it can be a time when anxiety can flare up. No one should have to experience it, especially at Christmas.

So I wanted to give you a few tips that I find useful:

  • locate an exit. Sometimes you just need a few minutes to yourself to calm yourself, so find somewhere you can go such as a terrace, garden, or if all else fails you can use the loo 😉 I genuinely have used this before! 😉 😉 ❤
  • Wear something comforting. I have a particular jersey/jacket that I love so I wear it almost everywhere because I know I feel safe and confident in it 🙂
  • Enjoy yourself! Just remember that this is an awesome part of the year, and just enjoy living in the moment 🙂 Focus on the positives, and make sure you’re in a happy situation 🙂

I wish you all the best over the holiday period, and I hope you all feel confident and happy 🙂

If you ever need to don’t hesitate to chat to me, I am always here for you 🙂

Happy Christmas eve eve 😉

Lui xx

  1. this is really helpful! When ever I start feeling anxious I kinda just let it happen and it gets a bit scary to be honest but next time I’m definitely going to just leave the room and shut myself in the toilets or something!! xx

  2. Wear something comforting is SUCH a good one. I’m always torn between wanting to go all out and be dressy and cute but then I’m like well after I devour all the food, I usually just want to be comfortable lol so wearing something comfortable is a total must!!! And there totally is cute comfortable clothes so its a win win! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas girl, stay safe and have fun!!!!

  3. I’ve had a chat with my son about this very thing today, both he and his girlfriend have anxiety issues and find it difficult dealing with “perfect” family members, if only they knew the truth. But having an exit seems to be the life saver or meltdown moment. Perhaps a trusted friend could be asked to help? I’ve made many excuses for the unexpected disappearance and will continue to do so. Thank god I don’t suffer with this .(I’m the one dancing on the table) joking, wish I could find a cure, there is one, self belief. Love going out to everyone that suffers with anxiety xx
